Strawberry Pie & Crust - Virginia Holland



1 c sugar
1 c water
2 T corn Strach 
1 3oz box jello
4 drops red food coloring
1 quart berries

Combine sugar, cornstarch then add water and heat over medium heat. Stir and cook until thick, add food coloring and jello after thicken. Clean and cut berries and put into cooled crust. Pour cooled mixture over berries in the cooled pie crust.
 Refrigerate 3-4 hours. 

Crust:
1 1/2 C flour
1/2 C oil
1/2 tsp salt
3 T sugar
2 T milk
Put dry ingr. in pie plate mix well.  Make a well, add oil, milk then mix into crust. press in pie plate

Bake 425  12-15 mins then cool before adding the strawberry mixture.
