1/2 - 3/4 C sugar
3 T cornstarch
2 cans Orego N Red Tart Cherries
1/4 tsp almond extract
1 T butter
2 crust for 9 in pie
Preheat oven 400.
Drain cherries and reserve the juice from only one can.
In a saucepan stir in cherry juice, cornstarch and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring until thick.
Remove from heat and gently stir in cherries and extract.
Pour into pastry and dot with butter. Seal with 2nd pie crust and vent.
Bake 30-40 min
