Low cholesterol Cookies

1 c flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp salt
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp ginger
1 c brown sugar
1 ¼ c oats
2 T milk
2 egg whites

Mix all together and bake 375 for 8-10 minutes.

Thumbprint Cookies

¼ c butter softened
¼ c shortening
¼ c brown sugar packed
1 egg separated
½ tsp vanilla
1 c all purpose flour
¼ tsp salt
¾ c finely chopped nuts

Heat over to 350. Mix butter, shortening, sugar, egg yolk and vanilla. Work in flour and salt until dough holds together. Shape dough by teaspoon into a 1 inch ball. Beat egg white slightly. Dip ball into egg white and roll in nuts. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased baking sheet. Press thumb into center of cookie and bake 10 minutes.

Chocolate No-Bake Cookies




2 C sugar
½ c milk
2 T cocoa
1 stick butter
½ c peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
3 c quick cook oats

Mix sugar, milk, cocoa and butter together over medium heat for about 1 ½ minutes. When starting to boil remove from heat and stir in the rest. Drop onto wax paper and let hardened.

Peanut Butter Cookies

½ c Crisco
½ c peanut butter
½ c sugar
½ c brown sugar
1 egg
1 ¼ c flour
¾ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt

Mix all together then shape into a ball and press down with fork.  Bake at 375 for 10-12 minutes.

White Chocolate Chip Cookies



1 C & 3 T flour
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp salt
½ c butter
6 T sugar
6 T brown sugar
½ tsp vanilla
½ tsp water
1 egg
12 oz white chocolate chips

Mix flour, soda and salt and set aside. Blend together the rest. Bake 375 for 8-10 minutes.

Snickerdoodles



1 c butter
1 ½ c sugar
2 eggs
2 ¾ c flour
1 tsp cream of tarter
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
3 T sugar
3 tsp cinnamon

Cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs and blend. In separate bowl mix flour, cream of tarter, soda and salt. Add to sugar mixture and blend well. Shape in 1 in balls and roll in sugar and cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350. Makes 5 dozen.

Mexican Wedding Cookies



1 c butter (room temp)
½ c powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 ¾ c flour
1 c pecans chopped fine

Preheat oven 275. Cream butter and sugar on low, beat in vanilla. Add low speed add in flour. Mix in pecans in with spoon. Flour your hands and take about 1 T dough and shape into crescent. Place on baking sheet. Bake 40 minutes. Cool but when able to handle roll in powdered sugar.

Yasko's Sugar Cookies &Mrs. Petry's Butter Cream Icing


Sugar Cookies
1 tsp vanilla
2 sticks
2 c sugar
3-4 egg
3 ½ c wonder flour
I tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt

Cream together sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Add flour, soda and salt. Chill 1 hour then roll out on floured surface and cut shapes. Bake 350 for 8-10 minutes.

Butter Cream Icing (Mrs. Petry from HS)
1 ½ c Crisco
1 tsp vanilla
¼ c flour,
2/3- ¾ c milk
2 lbs powdered sugar

Beat well

Peanut Butter Cookies



½ c Crisco
½ c peanut butter
½ c sugar
½ c brown sugar
1 egg
1 ¼ c flour
¾ tsp baking soda
½ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt

Mix Crisco, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar and eggs. Then add the rest of the ingredients. Drop on cookie sheet and flatten with folk. Bake 375 for 10-12 minutes.

Butter cream icing

1 ½ c Crisco
1 tsp vanilla
¼ c flour,
2/3- ¾ c milk
2 lbs powdered sugar

Beat well

No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies



2 C sugar
½ c milk
2 T cocoa
1 stick butter

Mix and cook over medium heat for 1.5 minutes.
 When it starts to boil, remove from heat. Stir in:

½ c peanut butter
1 tsp van
3 C quick cook oats

Mix and drop on wax paper to dry
